Charity shops are not only fantastic as you know the money you are spending is going to a good cause but also because you can pick up some great bargains, especially in the children’s clothes section. Lots of people buy their babies and children designer clothing, wanting them to have all the latest fashions but this is often a bit of a waste of money as children grow so fast that they can easily grow out of clothing before they have had a chance to really get any wear out of them. This is often why you find so many designer clothes and nearly new children’s clothes in charity shops.
Before hitting the shops or ordering that new designer coat for your little one why not have a hunt around your local charity shops instead. You may be surprised as to how many items you can pick up at a charity shop for the same amount as one jacket or pair of trainers from one of the big retailers.
If you have already fallen into the trap of buying all new clothing for your child, then why not have a hunt through and see if you can find any of their old items that you wouldn’t mind donating so someone else can get the use out of them.
