With most children back at school within the next few weeks, many parents are running round like headless chickens trying to source all the school uniform they need for when their children go back. If you haven’t already started you may need to act quickly otherwise you may find that you have little choice left when you hit the shops and end up having to buy the uniform from places you didn’t’ want to.

Another good reason to start buying early is to allow you to spread the cost out a bit. If you buy a few items at the start of the school holiday a few in the middle and the rest at the end then you can split the cost out over the 6 weeks instead of having to find it all in one go. This is often even more important for families who have more than one child as the cost of uniform can rack up very quickly indeed.

Be savvy when shopping, look out for supermarkets or shops that have special offers on clothing. If you have a points card then you could save your points up over the year and use these towards the cost of the shop.
