Children’s clothing constantly needs repairing due to their active ways. Buttons disappearing and holes appearing, mean that sewing is a skill most parents need to have!

If you’re sewing a button back on, don’t worry too much. It’s an easy fix. All you need is a needle, some thread and a button! Cross-stitch through the buttons and tie the thread when you’re done.

If you’re repairing a ripped seam, remember that the repair of a rip on the lining of the clothing will be different from the method used for exterior rips. For example, if you’re repairing a shirt, you will need to flip the shirt inside out. Whilst the lining in a jacket doesn’t need to be anything special.
