If you have children that have recently started back at school, you will probably already have had them come home without a sweatshirt or cardigan. As a parent it can be very frustrating when you child constantly loses items of clothing and it is vital that you ensure they have their name in them. If your child is quite young, you may need to put their name somewhere easy for them to find such as on the inside of the collar as often they struggle to hunt for labels that are further down the garment.

Many schools do try and encourage children to hand their items of clothing up on their pegs or put them in their bag, but it would not be possible for them to police this and therefore there will be times when it is left on the playground or in another classroom. Sometimes after people, children will put the wrong clothing back on, again if the items are labelled in a clear way then you would hope that other parents will notice it when they come to wash or iron the clothing and return it to you or school.

There are a number of different labelling methods, but iron on tags often seem the most effective as they can be placed anywhere. If buying online have a look at the reviews other parents have left and check to see if they guarantee them staying on for a number of washes etc.
