If this is the first time your baby has been measured, it might not be the easiest of tasks. This largely depends on your child, but it can be a distressing time for them, so be conscious of this.
What to look for in a shoe:
You want something supportive but one that has a flexible sole with good grip;
Having a lightweight shoe is going to make things easier for your child to get used to;
Whilst buckles, Velcro or even laces are a must to try and keep the shoes securely on your babies feet. Be considerate of how warm shoes can become, so make sure you pick a pair made from breathable material like cotton, canvas or even leather. Plastic shoes are a no no.
What to check:
Once your baby is wearing the shoes have a good feel around the toe area to allow for growing room. Recommendations are normally to allow about 1cm between their toes and the end of the shoes.
