If you have already gone over board with toys over the last few years then why not invest a little less in toys and more in clothing for your loved ones. Christmas is a time when many people buy gifts for each other but if your child has way too many toys already then why not ask people to get them a special outfit they can wear instead. For older children this could even be a pair of trainers that cost more than you would usually send or a new outfit for a party that they have been invited too.

Babies under the age of 2 don’t really have any concept of Christmas so that’s the time when you can afford to cut down a little bit and spend the money on things that they may actually need rather than more toys.

Buying quality clothing can mean that it last a lot longer than buying clothing that has been made with cheaper material and not put together as well. Although clothing can be expensive, it makes sense to invest in the things we use day in day out rather than something that may end up shoved at the back of the cupboard after a week or so.
