Many parents to be decide that they do not want to find out the sex of the baby, instead they want to wait for the surprise. This can make buying gifts and clothes difficult as you will have to buy them to suit a boy or a girl, even if you have a gut instinct.

It’s not only clothing that you need to think about as it may mean that all baby items you buy have to be gender neutral such as mosses baskets, bedding, the colour scheme in which you decorate the nursery etc and pushchair.

Unfortunately many parents feel that the choice of gender neutral clothing is pretty poor and often for this reason alone, many parents later decide to find out the gender. Some hospitals will tell you t the 20 week scan where as others will make you pay for a separate scan to find out. You also have the option of paying for a private scan which is often less or the same costs as the hospital will charge and may even include 4d peaks etc.
