If your child attends a play school or nursery then you may not send them in a uniform, but in their own clothes. It can be hard to know what clothes to send your child in as you want them to look nice and smart but also to be comfortable.
The clothes need to be practical and at the same time, need to be clothes that it doesn’t matter if they get ruined. When a child starts nursery or play school, the staff often tell the parents not to send the children in best clothes as they are usually participating in activities such as gluing, painting, and Play Doh, all of which can mark.
Always make sure that you send your child with at least one spare pair of clothes and if you are potty training them, then maybe even two or three, the nursery usually do have spare clothes but they may not fit your child well and it adds pressure to the nursery staff.
Appropriate footwear is also required as your child will probably be going outside and possibly even taking part in a forest school activity which often involves getting muddy. If your child has sandals on then this is not going to protect their feet.
