Selling your old clothes is a great thing to do, for a number of different reasons. Firstly, our modern society is entirely too wasteful with our clothes, and the vast majority just end up taking up space in landfills. Handing in our old clothes ensures that, so long as they are still usable, that they’re recycled to another person who needs them. Secondly, you can actually receive a fair bit of money in the exchange, which is always a good thing. Lastly, it provides people who need clothes with a cheaper alternative to buying new clothes. For children this is particularly relevant, as they can grow out of their clothes so quickly. This can be of benefit to you as well. You have to recognise that there is a bit of a stigma attached to second hand clothing, but it is a great way of reducing clothing costs for your family and young children.
