Special care should be taken when washing a baby’s clothes as you want to make sure their skin isn’t affected by the way the clothes are washed.

Before washing, always make sure to read the instructions of the clothes you want to wash. Some items of clothing have special instructions, hence the recommendation of reading the label beforehand.

As with all clothing, divide the clothes which need washing into small loads, separating by colour and temperature which they should be washed.

Use a chemical-free detergent to wash the clothes with, many brands make ‘baby-friendly’ detergents which is highlighted in front of the packaging.

After the wash is done, leave the clothes in for a rinse cycle. This will make sure that the residue from any detergent is removed.
